SCHEDULE

Saturday 07 April - start area off Port Beach, Fremantle. Finsh in Thomson Bay, Rottnest Island. 

  • Racing will include a Cat 3 Offshore Race (incorporating the Cape Vlamingh Race, hosting for EFYC) and Category 6 Transit Race /  Modified Cat 7 (Couta Boats) for the Rotto Ring Trophy. 
  • Social activities on Saturday evening at Hotel Rottnest.
  • Moorings and ferry service provided for competitors and support vessels in Thomson Bay. 
  • Stay overnight on the island or on your boat.

RFBYC will host the 2018 Cape Vlamingh Race on behalf of East Fremantle Yacht Club.

  • Please use the ORWA Handbook NoR and SI's.
  • Participants will be included in the results for the IRC Around the Island Race.

SAFETY AUDIT FOR ALL CATEGORIES:

Click HERE to download a current copy of the SR Equipment Audit Forms. 

Click HERE to download the additional requirements audit form to cover Department of Transport regulations for the 2018 Rottnest Festival of Sail. 

Category 3

  • NEA Equipment Form number for the 2017-2018 season is required.
  • A copy may be requested.

Category 6

  • Audit form completed and signed by Person in Charge must be provided to the OA. 
  • Additional requirements audit form to cover Department of Transport regulations must be completed, signed by Person in Charge and provided to the OA. 
  • Auditor checks will be carried out prior to the event.

Category 7+ (Couta Boats only)

  • Must comply to Appendix A in the Notice of Race. 
  • Audit form completed and signed by Person in Charge must be provided to the OA. 
  • Additional requirements audit form to cover Department of Transport regulations must be completed, signed by Person in Charge and provided to the OA. 
  • Auditor checks will be carried out prior to the event.

Rottnest Festival of Sail Twilight  - Wednesday 11 April at RFBYC

  • Twilight Sailing at RFBYC from 6:15pm.
  • Presentation of prizes in the Roland Smith Ballroom from 7:30pm.
  • Dinner from the Twilight Sailing menu. 

Captain Stirling Cup Presentation - Friday 13 April, 7pm at FSC

  • The Cape Vlamingh Race is included in the Captain Stirling Cup series.
