Yachts will moor overnight in the bay and enjoy the hospitality on shore at the Club.

Sunday morning, a windward-leeward race will be beld before the start of the Gordon Craig Ocean Race. This 20 nautical mile race heads north, finishing at the south mole finishing line in Fremantle.

Results will be calculated using IRC and YAH for the Rockingham Race Regatta and IRC for the Youth Cup Series. There will be a race presentation on Saturday 08 December at TCYC and the overall prizegiving for the Rockingham Race Regatta on Thursday 13 December at RFBYC.

To encourage participation of younger adults, the IRC Youth Cup Series will be run as an addition to the overall results. The event is endorsed by Australian Sailing and the RORC Rating Office. To qualify for the IRC Youth Cup Series, yachts need to have a minimum of one crew person under the age of 25 racing on-board.

A bonus scoring system per crew person, to a maximum of three crew for the bonus, will be applied to eligible teams using a time factor adjustment. Presentation of the IRC Youth Cup Series prizes will be held with the Rockingham Race Regatta presentation. The IRC Youth Cup Series has been endorsed by RORC IRC Rating office, working together with Australian Sailing and RFBYC to encourage participation of youth and young adults in keelboat and offshore racing.

The first race for the Gordon Craig took place in 1949 and the Dolphin Race in 1953. Over the last 60 years these races have been made up of a number of different course formats from windward-leeward racing to short passage races. In the last few years the course has taken yachts from Fremantle to Rockingham for an overnight stay at TCYC and then Rockingham back to Fremantle on the Sunday.
