CONGESTION ON MAIN WHARF

As we approach the festive season and the peak period for member activity at the Club, there is increased demand for access to the main wharf.

Members are kindly asked to respect the protocols for berthing here.  Please seek permission from the CEO, Bosun or Yachting Operations Manager if you require to leave your boat alongside the Main Wharf or Spur Jetty for periods of two hours or more.

In addition, the Main Wharf is to be kept free of boats from 12:00 noon until the start of racing on Saturdays to allow access for fleets which require the hoists for launching, but vessels may berth alongside after the start of races until 3:30pm.   Once all competing yachts have been retrieved, vessels may again berth alongside.

Yachts are reminded when launching and hoisting their boats out of the water to do so in an efficient manner.  When folding sails, please keep clear of the cranes.

The Main Wharf  is also to be kept free for all other scheduled Club racing times, unless the owner is aboard or nearby with a mobile number clearly displayed.  As a matter of courtesy, any vessel which at other times is obstructing the use of the hoists should vacate that position to allow reasonable use of it.

Similarly, the fuelling berths should be kept free except for boats taking on fuel.  This is particularly important at peak times when boats returning to the Club wish to refuel.

In summary, please show consideration to other members who require access to the wharf.  This is not always immediately apparent, so you are requested to bear this in mind when mooring your vessel.
