Rockwater Coventry Reef Race and Fremantle Harbour Classic
RFBYC Offshore Racing teams were at their best for the 45nm FSC Rockwater Coventry Reef Race on Saturday 3 November. The breeze delivered, filling in from 15kts at the start line, and 25-30kts by the afternoon, giving everyone a fast ride home. Craig Carter and the slick S2H team on Indian were flying, taking out first and fastest on IRC in Division 1. Ian Clyne and the Joss team followed up in 2nd.
Division 2 had Poodle & Hamish on This Way Up as RFYC sole entrant in this class. They did not disappoint, bringing home 3rd place on IRC.
Sunday had TWU & Joss backing up the Club Marine Harbour Race. TWU was an early retiree, ripping up a jib, probably after its thrashing on Saturday. Joss looked good in the finish line melee.
Next major outings will be the West Coaster Race and the Rockinhgam Race Regatta.
