International Classes Regatta this weekend

Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club's premier dinghy event, the International Classes Regatta, will be held this weekend and with the weather warming up and wind settling, it is shaping up to be a great weekend for sailing.

We currently have over 150 boats registered (equating to just under 200 competitors) and over 50 volunteers assisting on water and on shore.  Freshwater Bay will be a magnificent sight over this weekend and we encourage members to come down and watch from the top lawn.

Two Race Areas will be set up in Freshwater Bay with the following classes:

Race Area 1

49ers, 29ers, F15’s, Moths, Laser Full Rig, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7’s, Mirrors, 420’s, 505’s, Contenders

Race Area 2

Optimist Gold, Optimist Silver, O’pen BICs

Racing will be from 0900 until 1330 on Saturday and from 0900 – 1630 on the Sunday.  Refreshments will be available throughout the weekend from the canteen.

We remind competitors that registration is from 1600 – 1800 on Friday, 30 November 2012 at the Junior Clubhouse, where Sailing Instructions & merchandise for the regatta can be collected.
